How to get from Yalova to Istanbul?

To reach Yalova from Istanbul, tourists can take the IDO ferry from either Yenikapı on the European side or Pendik on the Asian side. It is also worth mentioning Eskihisar Station, which is the farthest point from central Istanbul, located on the Asian side in the Gebze district, after the industrial area Tuzla. This station offers a cheaper sea route to Yalova compared to other ferry options.

Another way to reach Yalova is by car, crossing the Osman Gazi Bridge from the Asian continent to the Altınova district. If you prefer driving, you can take the highway from Istanbul and reach Yalova in about an hour and a half, depending on traffic conditions. This route is especially busy during peak hours, evenings, and holidays, as many travelers prefer it over other options.

From Istanbul Airport to Yalova:
Driving from the new Istanbul Airport to Yalova takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
The company BBUS offers an alternative with direct large shuttle buses, providing comfortable seats, internet, hospitality, and charging sockets throughout the trip, which also takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. These buses depart hourly and do not stop at other stations along the way, forming a direct line between the airport and Yalova. You can book your ticket for BBUS buses from their website.
The starting point for these buses is part of the 140 Oxygen station, located before the Altınova district on the highway to the Osman Gazi Bridge. You can take a taxi from Altınova to reach this station. [Station location here.]

From Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Yalova:
There are also hourly bus lines to and from Sabiha Gökçen Airport departing from the main bus terminal. Some of these buses are not direct and stop at several points on the highway to pick up and drop off passengers. Keep this in mind as your journey might take more than two hours, not the one and a half hours shown on the site.
From this terminal, you can also travel to several nearby cities such as Bursa, Sakarya, İzmit, Ankara, İzmir, and other smaller towns.

New Bus Booking System in Turkey:
We recommend booking your bus tickets at least 12 hours before travel. This new system requires passengers to select and reserve seats based on their identity. Seats are assigned separately for men and women so that they do not sit next to each other. This affects seat availability and booking procedures. Due to this, travelers usually book in advance to avoid last-minute issues.

How to get to the Princes’ Islands from Yalova?

Dentur Avrasya operates a direct ferry service from Yalova to the Princes’ Islands (Adalar), specifically to Büyükada and Heybeliada, during the summer months.
