During the exhibition, various products of the local defense industries have displayed, foremost of which is the “Bayraktar TB2” drone and the “Jazari” flying vehicle.
The Turkish Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association “MÜSİAD” is organizing the exhibition’s activities, on an area of 25,000 square meters in the “TÜYAP” exhibition center on the European side of Istanbul.
In his speech at the opening session of the exhibition, Mahmut Asmalı, President of the MÜSİAD Association, said:
MÜSİAD operates extensively in 165 branches inside and outside Turkey, with a wide network of relationships.
MÜSİAD represents a large commercial bloc that provides job opportunities for about two million people, and it has a wide network of business relationships.
Today, the exhibition opens for the 19th time, as it contributes to achieving Turkey’s goals by increasing the volume of exports for the next year.
We believe we will open up to more markets, and we aim that the business that will be held on the sidelines of the conference will reach a volume of 5 billion dollars.
Turkey aims, according to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s plan, to reach an export volume of $300 billion next year, and therefore MÜSİAD seeks to be an important link in this regard.
This exhibition has been carefully prepared, there are visits from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, and we hope to play a role in meeting businessmen and investors in this exhibition.
For the first time in the history of “MÜSİAD Expo“, this year’s edition will host a summit of the ambassadors of the Group of Eight developing Islamic countries “D8” Egypt, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, and Bangladesh.
The exhibition is described as a “Center Of World Trade”, and its organizers aim to highlight Turkey as an economic attraction, especially after it has overcome impressive economic results, compared to the countries of the Middle East and Western and European countries.
The importance of the “MÜSİAD Expo” stems from its remarkable attempt to restore the international economic activities that Istanbul used to embrace in the last decade before it stopped in the first quarter of 2020.
